Welcome to Road Safety Wales
Pupils are invited to design and produce a road safety poster, with or without a slogan that will warn people of the dangers and/or consequences of drinking and driving.
All entries will be judged on a Regional Basis - North Wales, Dyfed Powys, South Wales and Gwent - in two categories, Junior and Senior. Winners will receive £75 and a framed certificate, whilst runners up will receive £50 and a framed certificate. Regional prizes may also be presented, at the discretion of individual local authorities.
Consideration will be given to selecting a ‘best slogan’ entry if such an entry is not one of the winning entries. If chosen, the slogan winner will be awarded £50.
From all 16 prize-winning entries (8 first prizes and 8 runners up) an overall winner will be selected, and an additional prize awarded. Consideration will be given to reproducing the winning entry and disseminated it throughout Wales to support the Campaign.
There will also be a prize of £250 to the Art Department or School, which submits the winning entry.
All prizes will be awarded at the Welsh Assembly’s Drink Drive launch at the All Nations Centre, Cardiff on Monday 3rd December (travel expenses will be covered)
